    The Category Manager for Embedded Software & Licenses (m/f/d) is leading the negotiations with key suppliers for the assurance of optimal value add acquisition on usage rights of Intellectual Property (for example Licensing on Patents, Software).

    Main Tasks:

    • Individual responsibility for contractual agreements and price negotiations
    • Working with cross-functional teams, including Project, R&D and Engineering including Advanced Purchasing
    • Working in close cooperation with Business Units in the deployment of strategic purchasing strategies
    • Representing the related Category in all kinds of Vitesco Technologies internal teams, meetings and councils
    • Define, implement and adapt global and regional sourcing strategies while considering the needs of the internal business partners
    • Actively influencing the sourcing process and evaluation of contractual risks and consulting of the internal decision makers
    • Ensuring the necessary documents and auditable documentation of the relevant contract and sourcing documents
    • Coordinate and maintain the Strategic Supplier List within the responsible Category
    • Evaluation, comparison and selection of strategic suppliers under various criteria, as well as identification of alternative suppliers
    • Evaluation of risk controlling results for existing and potential new suppliers as well as supporting insolvency management
    • Development, enhancement and leverage of strategic and key supplier relationships
    • Development and execution of commodity and procurement strategies
    • Implementation and responsibility of global supplier market analysis for new technology fields
    • Ensure a stable supply chain in the context of supplier management within an interdisciplinary team
    • Ensuring transparency of results by means of reporting and control of prescribed information and figures, Regular KPI Tracking.
    • Support in urgent customer projects and participation in escalation process (internal or external)

    Job requirements:

    • Academic Degree in Business Informatics, Software or Computer engineering or a comparable qualification
    • Professional experience within Software R&D, IT or Software Purchasing
    • Project Management experience desirable
    • Experience in negotiating contracts or agreements will be preferred
    • Knowledge of software license purchase will be an advantage
    • Highly interested in commodity management or a purchasing role in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience in the automotive industry desirable
    • Business fluent English and good German language skills written and spoken
    • Team player with proven influencing and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of people
    • Assertiveness as well a confident manner
    • Intercultural competences and first experiences in an international business environment
    • Willingness to travel
