    For our location in Barsinghausen/Beckedorf, Germany we are seeking an experienced Information Systems leader to support and manage divisional infrastructure, to join us as:

    IS Site Support Lead (m/w/d)

    In this role you will contribute to support and manage of the Barsinghausen/Beckedorf/Global Staff and regional infrastructure teams to ensure technology standards, processes and service levels are operating effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage all infrastructure related aspects of the site support for Barsinghausen, Beckedorf and Global Staff
    • Manage the Global Valve Systems (GVS) Global Server and Application infrastructure, including vmWare hosts, Application Servers, Storage, Backup and Network environment
    • Manage a team of site support personnel in alignment with company objectives and service level commitments to the business.
    • Support local site support leads in the plants on GVS specific infrastructure subjects
    • Ensure that defined Information Systems standards are implemented in a consistent way.
    • Ensure that the required level of documentation and asset management is provided.
    • Maintain a high level of Client satisfaction and Service Level commitments across the company.
    • Making sure that the standard event and workload management tools are deployed and operated effectively.
    • Supervise projects, regional or otherwise, and ensuring they’re managed and completed in a consistent manner.
    • Maintain Staff training levels consistent with the changing needs of the Business.
    • Ensure that centers of technical expertise are established and managed within the team.
    • Ensure that a sound working knowledge of emerging Infrastructure technologies are understood and provide advice and guidance to other Groups in the IS Organization as required.
    • Keep Infrastructure Budgets effectively managed.
    • Manage all 3rd Party Suppliers in an effective manner.
    • Ensure that any issues related to Standards are reflected to the owning group.
    • Maintain Virus Protection and Patch Management.

    What will make you successful

    • Sound knowledge of vmWare and SAN switch and storage technologies.
    • Sound knowledge of Windows Server Administration
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Networking technologies, such as Active Directory, SMS / SCCM, Office and Microsoft Exchange / Outlook is preferred.
    • Working knowledge in multiple architecture domains (technology, data, etc.).
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
    • 5+ years of IS and business/industry work experience
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication and presentation skills
    • Strong inter-personal skills and relationship management
    • Willingness to stretch and engage in project and task outside of normal reach or geography
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently. Crisis Management Skills
    • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results
    • Ability to think outside of the box
    • Strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development
    • Ability to effectively work in a team where other team members may be located throughout the world
    • Ability to travel regionally and/or internationally
