    Product Specialist (m/f/d)
    based out of Germany / Haan

    The Product Specialist is responsible for the Data Analysis, Development and Fulfilment of Rexnord’s CENTA product portfolio. Working with some of the biggest names in the industry, this role works across internal and external partners to benchmark, specify design requirements, ensure we can deliver, and drive industry leading solutions and products to delight our customers. 

    • Assist the Global Product Manager across a large variety of markets and customers including analysis, revenue, margin, market-share, lifecycle, NPI, NPD, Phase In and Phase out of our products
    • Understand the competitive landscape, collect VOC (voice of customer) and complete specific research projects in support of product planning process and develop pricing strategies and unique value propositions
    • Assist in the development of MGPPs (multi-generational product plans) roadmaps predicting where OEMs and the industry are headed over the next 3-5 years and what products they will need.
    • Leverage market and end-user research to segment competition and ensure that our roadmap is factoring in clear target user requirements and best available technology
    • Work closely with engineering to design and develop differentiated solutions
    • Assist in the development of compelling business case(s) for key initiatives including detailed market and financial analysis
    • Participate in new product development and value engineering (VAVE) as a growth and margin tool.
    • Build strong working relationships and partner with engineering, vertical marketing, and field sales to translate end market needs into actionable items on the roadmap
    • Identify and prioritize global product opportunities in both top line growth and profitability improvement, translating them into explicit, actionable strategy and product lifecycle plans
    • Establish trade-offs between competing interests and requirements to produce an achievable roadmap
    • Support the broader organization with segment strategy, action plans and execution
    • Assist the Global Product Manager and Energy Vertical leadership as needed to meet global business objectives
    • Strong data manipulation skills; ability to analyse large amounts of data and present findings to various levels of the organization  

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or business
    • Minimum 2 years relevant business-to-business product management, product management or product marketing experience in the industrial manufacturing industry, preferably power transmission.
    • Willingness to travel 25%
    • Proven record of success in dynamic matrix-organization environments 
    • Experience with NPD stage gate and/or portfolio management systems/software
    • Experience in Agile Product Management teams
