    At Mercedes-Benz Cars Research & Development (RD), we design the automobile generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working on vehicles that will secure Mercedes-Benz’s technological leadership in the future. The Mercedes Benz owned operating system MBOS for future car computers leads Mercedes to a new decade of software implementation in vehicles. Within development projet of the “Central Exterior Interior Controller”, one of only a few big Car Computers, Mercedes-Benz software development team will take over software development and integration inhouse. Therefore we are developing new ways of working and innovative technical solutions. The program management needs to be strengthened an we are looking for a highly motivated, creative, communicative release manager with excellent skills on coordination of agile software development and release processes though. Our multicultural team is mixed and based in different parts of the world. In this way, benefits that result from this mixture can be ideally raised. Of course the direct, personal exchange promotes the expansion of personal horizons and therefore we are looking for further Program Manager, Test Manager and Release Manager . As a Program Manager your tasks will be:

    • Definition, organisation and performance of program and project management tasks for the entire CEIC project (based on APSICE MAN3 requirements)
    • Contributions to the globale CEIC project management
    • Representing of the CEIC project in relevant carline and cross functional development teams
    • Within the CEIC project, coordination of carline related development activities on component- and requirements-level
    • Coordination of financial and budget topics within the core project team and internal / external partners

    As a Test Manager your tasks will be:

    • Definition, organisation and implementation of validation processes in combination with test management tasks for the entire CEIC project
    • Contributions to the global CEIC project management
    • Alignment of software testing of CEIC with all other MBOS based controllers in whole MBC organization
    • Development of tests, pass through criteria, release criteria of CEIC on software level as well as on component level base
    • Coordination of activities in several test teams working on explicit test activities for CEIC qualification with aggregation and management reporting of test results produced

    As a Release Manager your tasks will be:

    • Definition, organisation and implementation of release management tasks for the entire CEIC project
    • Contributions to the global CEIC project management
    • Alignment of software releases of CEIC with releases of vehicle electrics / electronics development in content of timing aspects
    • Adjustment of CEIC software development releases to regulations of vehicle manufacturing plants or market regulations

    Required profile

    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
    • Deep experience on SiL, HiL and simulated test environment in combination with a few years of experience with access of test equipment to software driven electronic components on a low level base. Experience on test automatisation tools and strategies are helpful.
    • Extensive experience in program and project management of complex, software driven projects following ASPICE philosophy (impacted by market regulations, i.e. SUMS or OBD)
    • Ideally, very good knowledge in MBC internal development processes with their interface to vehicle plants and tools used
    • Deep knowledge in software bug analysis and fixing based on test results
    • Experience in agile working models and Knowledge in Automotive SPICE would be desirable
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in combination with Pragmatic problem solving attitude
