(Senior) Calibration Engineer E-Powertrain (m/f/d) for our department xEV System Development

    Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH (HMETC) in Rüsselsheim was opened in 2003. lts purpose is to make sure that every Hyundai and Kia which comes to Europe meets the demanding standards of the European customer and to adapt the cars to the needs of the specific markets.     As (Senior) Calibration Engineer for our Advanced Electrification Team, you are responsible for hybrid and EV Powertrain calibration in our advanced development projects for BEV and (P)HEV vehicles.

    You will take over the following tasks:    

    • Applying a methodical approach to balance performance, economy and drivability attributes in complete electrified powertrain system
    • Analyzing calibration status to identify control system improvements
    • Supporting development of electric/hybrid drive train control unit, control strategy, software architecture and function development
    • Cooperating closely with other departments to optimize the handover of advanced development stage to the mass production

    • Degree in electrical/ mechanical/ automotive engineering
    • Knowledge in the area of high voltage (H)EV development
    • At least 5 years of experience in the area of electrified powertrain development
    • Experience in HV systems and CAN monitoring/simulation
    • Willingness to travel and a valid European driving license B
    • Excellent analytical skills as well as a problem solving mentality
    • A very good command of English and strong intercultural & communication skills 
    • Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
