    In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

    Your main objective is to develop an holistic understanding of the big picture and the capability to translate it into an ambitious, yet reasonable strategy to ensure business growth within the emerging markets of electrification. Research, understand and match market and technology trends as well as customer requests with the best possible approach. Break the strategy down into all necessary action items and be the ambassador of our business line strategy within the company, with customers and all other stakeholders in the industry.

    • Support the comprehensive business line strategy development and definition, incl. all relevant roadmaps for technology, product, sales and production footprint. Involve and align with functional units and prepare for reviews and final board approval
    • Recognize, network and align with all relevant stakeholders involving all functional units and the management board. Make sure, the promoted strategy matches with and enables business line and group targets
    • Develop the business and the growth by identifying, qualifying and prioritizing sales opportunities and potentially new business areas within your markets, which align with and support VA’s strategic targets
    • Guide and support the quotation process as well as business case calculations incl. pricing structures
    • Prepare and attend customer meetings and support sales activities
    • Understand electrification and outsourcing strategies of existing and potential customers as well as the resulting customer needs and how to match them
    • Research, know and understand market structure, drivers, needs and trends, commercially and technologically
    • Expertise with relevant sources and knowledge to best possible use and utilize them to gather and build up market intelligence, analyze findings and translate into future development
    • Identify and work on strategic partnerships and industry collaborations
    • Drive all related product management activities such as benchmarking and IP
    • Attend and support trade shows, conferences and other industry networking events
    • Work, align closely and manage interfaces with all other functional units such as sales, program management, engineering, purchasing and operations within the business line and across
    • Know how to transfer complex structures and correlations into comprehensive and easy to understand presentations on top management level
    • Drive continuous improvement of the product portfolio to match market requirements

    • Sound commercial and technical qualification with a Master degree in Engineering, alternatively in Business Administration with proven technical background or similar
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management working for an automotive Tier1 system supplier
    • Fundamental knowledge of the automotive e-mobility battery market and the related technology trends, the competitive environment and the resulting challenges
    • Strong customer orientation with the ability to align customer targets with internal targets and priorities
    • Sales experience with automotive OEMs and knowing the automotive processes preferably within the automotive e-mobility battery market
    • Distinguished communication, networking, presentation and negotiation skills paired with a distinctive analytical strength
    • Hands-on mentality and open-minded, paired with a flexible and solution focused work style to cope with a fast growing work environment
    • Skilled with MS Office, especially with Excel and PPT
    • German and English languages requested, fluent in speaking and writing with full professional proficiency
    • Located in Munich, alternatively in Bad Friedrichshall
    • Travelling mainly within Germany and Europe
