Technical Communicator (m/f/x) – part time or full time

for our Atlas Copco location in Geretsried (near Munich)

Passionate people create exceptional things! Join us at Atlas Copco!

Are you a creative technical writer with a flexible and creative mind-set? We are looking for a new Technical Communicator for our innovative product company based in Geretsried near Munich. This is a great opportunity for a pro-active individual with great communication skills to drive his/her own projects that bring real internal and customer’s value.

Our expertise: innovative joining technologies for the automotive industry. When it comes to adhesive bonding, self-pierce riveting and flow drill fastening technologies, we are the first choice for automotive manufacturers and industrial companies all over the world. The main ingredients of our recipe for success and our continuous growth: cooperation, openness, creativity, entrepreneurship – and of course our employees, who help shape this progress every day. Together with the Atlas Copco Group, we create an attractive international working environment that is constantly in motion.

    Main tasks and responsibilities:

With Atlas Copco, you will have the mission to make our information more useable and accessible to customers, sales and service organizations. As part of Atlas Copco’s skilled team, you will produce timely, accurate, and user-friendly technical instructions, for products, solutions and systems. For each customer project, you will be responsible for compiling the complete set of documentation, arrange translation when needed and make sure it is accurate and up to date. To ensure that our documentation meets required quality and efficiency demands, our Technical Communicators work in close collaboration with the Technical Illustrators, R&D Designers, and Product Managers.

Some of our technical documentation is created in a Component Content Management System (CCMS) and as a key user, you will drive further the implementation of CCMS for the creation, management and translation of the technical documentation of our complete portfolio. You will also be the main contact person to the Atlas Copco Global Technical Documentation team in Stockholm (Sweden) and ensure digitalization of information to meet „modern“ users‘ expectation, for example, with video, images and 3-D animations.

Main competences and personal characteristics – your profile:

To succeed in this role, you need documented experience as a technical writer used to working in a structured way, producing content in English for both hardware/software products. Excellent writing and editing skills as well as experience from working with topic based writing, is also required.

It is a merit if you hold a technical education, but is not necessary if you have relevant work experience and a technical interest. Any experience in graphics, illustration or Component Content Management System (CCMS) is an advantage.

As a person, you have a flexible and innovative mind-set, like to take responsibilities and manage workload with „self-prioritization“. You are a responsive and helpful team player with great communication, collaboration and networking skills. It is important that you have an interest in exploring products and systems to understand how they work and determine our end users‘ needs. Given your open-minded and proactive approach, you easily find new improvements and you can easily adapt to changes in a mobile environment. Overall, you contribute to our fellowship, innovative environment and inspiring atmosphere.

Attractive working environment – Your benefits:

Work with a vision in a great atmosphere with high growth potential and global career prospects

Dynamic working environment with a strong international team and a lot of freedom to act

Focus on your strengths with continuous trainings and individual development programs

Work life balance thanks to high work time flexibility, home office and 30 holidays per year

Fair pay, company pension scheme and benefits from a large stable company
